2015 Suacci Pinot Noir
A rich aroma of blackberry and spice jumps from the glass. This medium bodied beauty opens with bramble and cherry with more delicate notes of hibiscus and vanilla, supported with toasty oak and just the right acidity to balance. It finishes with an invigorating, mouth-warming spice.

The grape clusters were hand harvested at night to ensure gentle processing of cool fruit. At the winery, the grapes were hand sorted, de-stemmed, leaving 10% of the fruit as whole clusters for added complexity and spice component. The grapes were then fermented in temperature controlled tanks; we did punch-downs three times daily. Native yeast was used for the fermentation. At dryness, the grapes were drained and pressed directly to barrel into a combination of 40% new French oak barrels for 11 months aging.
2015 was a warm and dry vintage. Early bud break due to the lack of rain, made this an early harvest where getting this fruit mature enough was not a problem. Small tight clusters and elevated sugar content helped intensify the normal dark color and create a larger pallet then normal from this vineyard. Expect this wine to age well and get better with time.
FRUIT SOURCE: SUACCI VINEYARD
Suacci Vineyard is a 6.5-acre vineyard planted on south facing slopes of the Sebastopol Hills in Blucher Valley. An especially cool pocket of the Russian River Valley, there are short windows of heat in the midday, followed once again by the assertive ocean breezes which flow through the Petaluma Gap. With low yields and tiny clusters, this vineyard consistently produces Pinot Noir with intense, complex flavors with pronounced acidity.
Bailarín Cellars was created in 2014 by a collective of family and friends, each following their respective passions and all sharing one: quality wine. Together we focus on producing small lots of handcrafted wines from unique vineyard sources. We are proud to share the fruits of our labor and love with you.
