WINEMAKER NOTES

Made from a blend of Pinot Noir sourced from three different vineyards, this 2024 Rosé exhibits elements of strawberry, bananas, and green, herbal expressions like sage and bay leaf. On the palate, these flavors and aromas harmonize beautifully with one another, making this wine perfect for a summer day by the pool.

WINEMAKING TECHNIQUES

Crafted using a French technique known as “saignée,” the grapes for this wine first undergo 10-15% bleeds in our tanks after arrival at the winemaking facility. This approach to making rosé involves extracting the juice before the skins release too much color. Doing so helps concentrate the juice-to-skin ratio in all of our Pinot Noirs, and the result is a stunning, vibrantly pink wine. The juice is then fermented in stainless steel drums until it reaches a dry state. We then interrupt the secondary fermentation halfway through to prevent malolactic conversion, preserving the wine’s vibrant fruit characteristics.

FRUIT SOURCE:

Our 2024 North Coast Rosé is crafted from three award-winning Pinot Noir vineyards and several different Pinot Noir clones. LOV Vineyard is located in Santa Rosa in the Russian River Valley and is farmed organically. Bacigalupi Vineyard, spanning 125 acres in the Russian River area, holds a rich family history in the wine industry spanning four generations. Finally, the core Suacci Family Vineyard produces small, “grenade cluster” Pinot Noir grapes that offer this blend greater depth and intensity of color.

VINTAGE NOTES

Although longer that anticipated, the 2024 vintage turned out to be a good growing season and resulted in concentrated flavors. Though we had record-high temperatures during July, the climate stabilized in August, leading to a mild end of the summer and plentiful, high-quality fruit.

THE WINERY

Bailarín Cellars was created in 2014 by a collective of family and friends, each following their respective passions. Together, we focus on producing small lots of handcrafted wines from unique vineyard sources. We are proud to share the fruits of our labor and love with you.
