Suacci Pinot Noir Vertical (15-16-17)
Enjoy the beauty of a Suacci Family Vineyard vertical, featuring three of our favorite wines. The 2015, 2016 and 2017 Suacci Pinot Noirs will impress you for months and years ahead.
The Suacci Family Vineyard is a 6.5-acre vineyard planted on south facing slopes of the Sebastopol Hills in Blucher Valley. An especially cool pocket of the Russian River Valley, there are short windows of heat in the midday, followed once again by the assertive ocean breezes which flow through the Petaluma Gap. With low yields and tiny clusters, this vineyard consistently produces Pinot Noir with intense, complex flavors with pronounced acidity.
2015 Suacci Pinot Noir - A rich aroma of blackberry and spice jumps from the glass. This medium bodied beauty opens with bramble and cherry with more delicate notes of hibiscus and vanilla, supported with toasty oak and just the right acidity to balance. It finishes with an invigorating, mouth-warming spice.
2016 Suacci Pinot Noir - This wine jumps out of the glass with buttery sweet cherry notes that roll into sweet cranberries and hints of tobacco. The palate is coated with flavors of dark cherry, dried cranberry and subtle oak nuances of tobacco. There is a long lingering finish with strong notes of black current and vanilla.
2017 Suacci Pinot Noir - This wine does not lack complexity. The rich aromas of cherry, dark fruit tones, cedar box, dried rose petals and raspberry jam dance in your glass with each swirl before you unfold the wine as it reveals each layer of blackberry, black currant, clove, tobacco and strawberry jam on the palate. The wine goes on forever on the finish and keeps revealing more layers as it opens up with time.
