Suacci Vertical
Enjoy the beauty of Suacci Family Vineyard's vertical lineup, featuring three of our favorite wines - the 2017, 2018, and 2019 Suacci Pinot Noirs.
The Suacci Vineyard consists of 6.5 acres of south-facing slopes in the Sebastopol Hills of Blucher Valley. Located in a particularly cool pocket of the Russian River Valley AVA, this vineyard's microclimate is known for its coastal influence with short windows of warm temperatures and assertive ocean breezes from the Petaluma Gap. With low yields and tiny clusters, this vineyard consistently produces pinot noir with intense, complex flavors and pronounced acidity.
2017 Suacci Pinot Noir - The 2017 Suacci Pinot Noir shows great complexity. Dark, cherry rich fruit and raspberry jam fill the nose and are framed by cedar box and rose petals. The layered palate brings blackberries, black currants and strawberry jam fruit with clove and tobacco in the background. A long finish continues to reveal more layers, and it's well worth the wait to allow the wine to open up and show all of its riches.
2018 Suacci Pinot Noir - On the nose you will find black tea, cedar and forest with rich cherry cola, and blackberry cobbler notes. The palate brings dark black fruit tones, Asian spice, white pepper and cherry pie flavors that linger for a long silky finish. This wine will age beautifully for years to come.
2019 Suacci Pinot Noir - Moisture-rich soil from a wet winter nourished the vines, showcasing the essence of southern Russian River. The nose reveals forest floor, rose petals, dried cherry, boysenberry, cherry cola, and fig. This medium to full-bodied wine evolves in the glass with each swirl. Bright cherry tones transition to rich jam notes, while the long-lasting finish harmonizes vanilla and Christmas spice with the vibrant fruit flavors. The palate is a delightful journey of ever-changing complexity.
